P90X Round 2 Day 29 – Chest Shoulders and Triceps

Today was the first time we did the Chest Shoulders and Triceps workout this round (the first time ever for Bransen). It was a pretty hard workout. My numbers were ok but lower then I wanted. I know that next week will be better. I’m not too disapointed with my results though. I did pretty good. Ab ripper x went well. Usually after the recovery week I have more trouble with the ab ripper but this time it wasn’t too bad.

P90X Round 2 Day 28 – Yoga for X Stretch

I ended up switching out yesterdays yoga day for rest and did yoga today on the rest/stretch day instead. We were painting all day yesterday and just didn’t have time to get the yoga routine in. Anyways, I did it today and it was pretty hard. I felt like my arms were weak, most likely from all the painting we did. Tomorrow starts week 5 which means the new routines are coming into play. It’s going to be fun!

P90X Round 2 Day 26 – Another core workout

We finished up another good core synergystics workout today. It’s a really great workout. I like it even though it’s probably the hardest workout of all the P90X routines. It goes by quick and really gets you sweating. And it feels like a full body workout so that’s a plus as well.

Since this is a recovery week, today was supposed to be an X Stretch day. But since we missed last Saturdays Kenpo X workout, Bransen and I decided to do a Plyometrics workout today instead. We both had a really great workout. One of the best ever. Later on Napua did the X Stretch routine, and I decided to do the first half of it with her. I didn’t do the second half because I was making dinner at the time. I feel pretty good though from doing what I did.

P90X Round 2 Day 24 – Kicking some butt

Todays recovery week workout was Kenpo X. We had a really great workout. By the end we were covered in sweat and feeling great. This one always makes me feel good by the end. I just wish the warm up was more traditional. I just don’t like doing the kenpo warmup for some reason!

P90X Round 2 Day 23 – Core Synergystics

Wow! I forgot how awesome the P90X Core Synergystics workout is! All three of us, Bransen, Napua and I, just completed the workout and it was great. We were all sweating so much it was crazy. Our mats were soaked and probably the carpet too. I feel great! I don’t know why this workout is part of the recovery week because it’s really intense. I like it though and it seems to go by really fast.

P90X Round 2 Day 22 – Yoga

Today was day 22, the first day of the first recovery week. We all just completed Yoga X. It was a pretty good workout for all of us I think. I know it was for me. We only have 2 mats so I had to do it without a yoga mat but other then that everything was great. I’m looking forward to the rest of the week.

P90X Round 2 Day 19 – Best Leg and Back Workout

Bransen and I just finished up Legs and Back and Ab Ripper X. It was a good workout for us both. Actually it was one of the best leg and back workouts I’ve done in a long time so I’m really happy with it. Napua and I are taking the dogs and going camping for the weekend so I won’t be posting tomorrow. We’ll probably be taking tomorrow as a rest day and doing Kenpo when we get back on Sunday like we did last week. It seemed to work out well last time.

P90X Round 2 Day 18 – Good Yoga Workout

Bransen and I did yoga today (Napua decided to take the day off) and we both did really well. Bransen pushed through and tried harder then he ever has during yoga and he did a great job with it, even though it was really hard. Yoga was hard for me too but I also pushed through to the very end and it ended up being a really good yoga session. I held crane for the longest time that I’ve ever been able to today so that was a nice plus too!

P90X Round 2 Day 17 – Another breakthrough workout

Todays workout was Shoulders and Arms. I pushed myself as hard as I possibly could and I made gains in pretty much every exercise. By the end I had such an amazing pump going in my shoulders, arms and chest. I’m going to miss this workout for the next 6 weeks as well. Ab ripper x went really well today also. I’m very happy overall with todays shoulder and arms / ab ripper x routine. Bransen worked out with us again today and he did pretty good as well. He was using heavier weights this time and I think he got a nice pump from the workout too.

P90X Round 2 Day 16 – Sweatfest…

The plyo workout today was amazing for all three of us. Bransen, Napua and I were all drenched with sweat after completing the plyometrics workout. This is still one of my favorite workout days, even though it’s a tough one. I’m really happy that Bransen is pushing hard too. I think he’s going to be able to get some good results if he sticks with it.

P90X Round 2 Day 15 – Weight Vest Success

Our chest and back workout was absolutly amazing. The weight vest that I’ve been wearing for the workout is really helping to push the workout to the next level. I’m going to miss doing chest and back for the next 6 weeks or so. Anyways, I was able to raise my reps on all the moves again and I felt great afterwards. Napua and Bransen also had good workouts today. They are pushing harder and I’m really proud of their progress. Ab ripper x went really well this time too!

P90X Round 2 Day 14 – Kenpo X

Yesterday was supposed to be kenpo and today a rest day but because we were too busy yesterday to get our workout in, we ended up taking yesterday as our rest day and did the kenpo routine today. The workout was pretty average but at least we got it done.

P90X Round 2 Day 12 – Crushed Fifer Scissors

If anyone knows me or has read this blog they know how much I hate Fifer Scissors. I can almost never complete the full set. Today was one of those good days where I was able to make it through. Hopefully I will be able to continue to do the same moving forward. The rest of the ab ripper x routine went very well also. The legs and back workout went pretty good. I upped my reps on all the pull ups so that’s always a good thing. I try to do at least 1 more every session. I started out the workout not into it and not wanting to do it but it ended up being an above average workout day. It’s like I always tell people, keep pushing forward and you’ll do great!

P90X Round 2 Day 11 – more yoga

Bransen and I just completed the yoga x workout. I did pretty good. I would say it was an above average yoga day for me. Bransen did very badly (it’s only his second time). I think if he tried a little harder he would be able to do better at it. I know it’s hard when you first start out though so I do think he’s going to do much better moving forward. Napua will be doing the yoga x routine after she gets home from work.

P90X Round 2 Day 10 – Lifting Heavy

Today was day 10 of P90X round 2. Shoulders and Arms. I tried to raise the weight or reps on every exercise and I had an amazing pump throughout almost the entire workout. It feels really good! Next week I’m going to try to bring it even harder if that’s possible. Ab ripper x went ok this week. I wish it was better but I’m not too disapointed in it. Overall todays workout was really good.

P90X Round 2 Day 9 – That was intense!

I just completed the most intense plyometrics workout ever! I was really pushing hard and I feel really good now that the workout is done. I was feeling a little light headed at about the 45 minute mark but I kept pushing and finished strong. There’s no doubt why they call this one “The Mother”.
