Well round 2 of P90X is almost over and to tell the truth, as far as looks go, I’m in worse shape then I was before I started the second round. This is 100% my fault and 100% because of bad nutrition choices. I’m glad that round 2 is nearly over because I’ve promised myself that during round 3 I’m going to stick to a good nutritional diet and I’m going to get the results that I should have gotten in the second round. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve made huge improvements in every area except for ‘looks’. I’m lifting heavier with more reps and I’m able to do much more cardio without being winded then I ever have before. Also I’ve surpased a lot of physical goals during this second round as well. I’m up to 71 consecutive push-ups without rest (100 is my goal). I was only able to do 50 after the first round so that’s pretty good if you ask me.
Today I did a double workout. First I completed Back and Biceps and Ab Ripper X from P90X. Both workouts were good but back and biceps was the stand out workout. I used heavier weights for a bunch of the moves and I felt really great throughout the entire workout. After I finished the ab ripper, I completed the Plyo Cardio Circut from Insanity. I was pretty tired but I pushed through to the very end so I’m sure I burned off a bunch of extra calories during that workout. Tomorrow I’m going to be doing an Insanity Max workout for the first time so that should be interesting!

I just wanted to add a quick post to let everyone know that I’m still around. I haven’t been posting every day like I used to but I have been working out hard. I’ve had some tough times in life reciently and just haven’t had the motivation to blog every day. I will probably start blogging weekly rather then daily, at least for a while. Theres only a couple more weeks left until I finish up round 2 of P90X and then I’m going to be starting round 3 right away. Keep checking back for new pic updates!

I did Legs and Back today for the first time in a month or so. I had a really good workout. One of the best leg and back workouts ever I think. I was able to do 15 reps on all the pull up exercises the whole way through the routine. I also did ab ripper x today and that was really good also. Once again I killed the Fiffer Scissors.

Well it’s day 60 of the second round of P90X and there are good and bad things happening. The good is all because of the program and the bad all fall on my shoulders. First, the bad. I have gained 5 lbs and 1% bodyfat since day 30. This is 100% my fault as I have been eating Very badly the past month or so. I’m going to reign that in now and eat clean for the next 30 days. The good is that I’ve been working out really hard lately and I’m still making incredible gains, even though my eating has been so bad. I’m much stronger now then I was at day 30, and my cardiovascular is much better now then it was a month ago. This just goes to show that even though you are doing great workouts and making huge gains in strength and endurance, your nutrition is such an important part of the fitness puzzle. Be sure to check back on day 90 because I’m promising great results! Day 60 pics are posted at the bottom of the homepage.

Todays workout was Shoulders and Arms. I had a really good workout. I decided to do the workout a bit differently today. I didn’t use the dvd, instead I just went off of the worksheet, and I decided to do the exercises from the bottom of the worksheet and work my way up. It was pretty cool to do it this way. I was able to do a lot more reps/weight for the exercises at the bottom that I am normally tired by the time I get to, and also I had to really push hard to get the normal amount of reps that I’m used to doing by the time I made it to the top of the sheet. I would recommend trying it sometime. Ab ripper x went very well also. I was able to complete the fifer scissors moves again which is pretty cool. About an hour or so after I finished the workouts my wife saw me with my shirt off and she said, “Your arms look really big!”. Yep, P90X Shoulders and Arms works…

Another insane workout today. I did Plyo Cardio Circut from the Insanity series. This was the third time that I’ve done this workout and it’s still amazing. By the end I really can’t push very much more at all as I’m just drained. My arms and legs are like jello by the end. I can’t really imagine what the MAX plyo is going to be like. For now, this workout is enough for me! This is the kind of workout where you are still sweating even after you get out of the shower.

I haven’t been posting for the past few days, but I’m still here! Today I did a really hard workout. I would say it is within the top 5 workouts that I’ve ever done in my life. First I started by doing a very intense Chest and Back workout. I pushed really hard and upped my reps on almost all the moves. I also did an intense Back and Bicep workout as well. I followed those up with the Insanity workout Cardio Abs and then I completed Ab Ripper X! I did every workout at 100% and it was just amazing!

Todays workout was Cardio Power & Resistance. It was the first time doing this workout and it was an amazing one. The warm up was a little different then the ones I’ve done so far. It was just as hard, but different. Then the actual workout started and it was hard too. Overall I liked the workout and I’ll sure I’ll even get better at it for next time.

I had another good workout today. I did Shoulders and Arms and followed it up with Cardio Abs. Both workouts went well. Bransen was over doing his Kenpo workout so he decided to do the cardio abs routine with me and he was suprised by it but it was good.

Todays workout was Plyo Cardio Circut. I thought that it was a brand new workout but it turned out to be the same workout as the full preview dvd that I have. So I had done this workout once before, but let me tell you, it wasn’t any easier this time! It was really really hard! I made it through to the very end although I did have to take an extra break or two during some of the exercises towards the end of the workout. I am to the point now where I can complete the entire warm up without a break. If you’re laughing at that, there can only be one of two reasons. One, you’ve done the insanity warm up and know what I’m talking about, or two, you’ve never done the insanity workout and have no idea what I’m talking about!

Todays workout was Chest and Back and Ab Ripper X and it was fabulous! I pushed harder then ever before. My numbers were up on every single exercise and I’m feeling amazing. Ab ripper x went very well too. I even got through the entire 25 fifer scissors without stopping which is pretty good if you ask me. I think today may have been the best workout I’ve done ever!

Today we did the Insanity workout Cardio Recovery for the first time. It was kinda hard but it was so short (only 33 minutes) that it just flew by. It seemed like a really good recovery from the normal intense workouts. I enjoyed it but I think in the future unless I’m drained or something that I’ll probably add in some treadmill time on Cardio Recovery days. We’ll see though, the rest felt pretty good!

Yet another awesome workout today! We did Back and Biceps along with Cardio Abs from Insanity. Both the workouts were great. I’m so glad that I decided to do this hybrid workout because I’m really enjoying it a lot. I’m looking forward to the workouts more now and I feel that I’m getting more out of them as well. If you’ve done P90X once or twice before and are looking for something a little different, I think that a P90X Insanity hybrid is the way to go.

Today was the our first time doing the Insanity Pure Cardio workout and I have to say that I really can’t think of a better name for the routine. It started out with the normal Insanity “warm up” routine, followed by the stretch. Once the workout starts, you better be ready because you have to do about 20 intense, fast pace cardio moves with no rest in between. It’s an amazing cardio workout. It’s really hard but I like it! I’m sure that I’ll be able to get better and better each time we do it. I must say that I’m loving the P90X Insanity Hybrid workout schedule so far!

I can’t believe that round 2 is half over already. What a ride. It’s going by fast! Today I had another really great workout. I did shoulders and arms and ab ripper x. I push so hard during both workouts and it was just incredible. I’m really excited about the progress that I must be making, with all these great workouts! I’m also excited about tomorrows Insanity workout!

Todays workout was Plyometrics and it was absolutly awesome! I think it may have been the best plyo workout I’ve ever had. I wanted to really push myself as hard as I could so I was going trying to do the P90X plyo routine as if it were an Insanity routine. Man, I was really feeling it by the end. It was amazing. My legs are like jello but I feel so good. Napua and Bransen did really well also. Bransen was sweating so much it was crazy!

Today starts day 1 of my P90X / Insanity hybrid workout routines. I’m still cotinuing to count the workouts as round 2 of P90X just to keep things a bit easier to track. Todays workout consisted of Chest and Back and Cardio Abs. The chest and back workout was really good. I pushed myself hard and I ended up doing a ton of pushups. Then I did the Cardio Abs routine for the first time. It’s a really great ab workout. It’s about the same length as the Ab Ripper X routine but it makes you sweat a lot more. I could really feel it in my abs afterwards. I can already tell this hybrid workout is going to be really hard. I’m looking forward to the challenge!
