P90X Insanity Hybrid Round 3 – Week 1 Update

Week 1 of round 3 is complete. I really just wanted to ease into the first week of the hybrid workout so I’m looking forward to a more intense week 2. Here is what I did for week 1:

P90X Insanity Hybrid Round 3 Day 1

Today is the first day of round 3! I’m not going to be posting regular blog updates but I will be posting 30 60 and 90 day result pics as they come so keep a lookout for them. Oh yeah, I’m also planning on doing doubles this time through so the results should be pretty amazing!

P90X Round 2 Day 47 – Pumped Up

Yet another awesome workout today! We did Back and Biceps along with Cardio Abs from Insanity. Both the workouts were great. I’m so glad that I decided to do this hybrid workout because I’m really enjoying it a lot. I’m looking forward to the workouts more now and I feel that I’m getting more out of them as well. If you’ve done P90X once or twice before and are looking for something a little different, I think that a P90X Insanity hybrid is the way to go.

P90X Day 124 – Cardio X

I did cardio x this monring and it was a pretty good workout. No legs and back workout today. I had planned on doing another workout this evening but my aunt and uncle came into town from out of state so we did stuff with them instead. We did end up going on a short hike in the mountians so I guess that helps a little. Anyways, maybe I’ll make up the extra workout tomorrow if I feel like it.

P90X Day 121 – Twice the Cardio

I decided to make today an extra doubles day since we are only 1 week away from Hawaii and I want to push as hard as I can before we go. This morning I started off with a good cardio x workout, then this evening we finished up with our scheduled plyometrics workout routine. The plyo was amazing. I was really sweating by the time it was over. Lots of calories burned today with all this cardio work. I’m feeling great and can’t wait for Hawaii!

P90X Day 116 – Switched Cardio X for Yoga

Today we did cardio x instead of the scheduled yoga workout. The cardio went very well. By the end I was sweating like crazy and I had a really good workout from it.

P90X Day 115 – Another top notch workout

I started off this mornings doubles by doing cardio x. It was a pretty good workout. The yoga portion actually felt a little hard but it goes by fast. Overall I had a great cardio workout this morning. Then this afternoon we did back and biceps. We did it without using the dvd this time, only the worksheets. It worked out really well. My arms are so pumped up right now. Ab ripper x went well also. I’m still adding in the extra hanging moves from the plus series but I wasn’t able to do quite as many today because instead of incorporating them throughout the ab ripper x routine like normal I tried to do them all in a row at the end and that made it too hard for me. Anyways, overall today was a top notch workout day.

P90X Day 111 – Kenpo X plus Cardio X

Todays workout was Kenpo X. I got up early this morning and did the kenpo workout first thing. My wife woke up before I had finished the workout and she wanted to do Cardio X today so immediately after finishing kenpo I completed the cardio x dvd also. So I got lots of good cardio in this morning and felt great all day.

P90X Day 96 – Legs and Back

All of todays workouts went very well! First thing this morning I did the cardio X routine and it had me sweating right away. By the end I was covered in sweat and feeling alive and ready to face the day. A few hours later I decided to complete the legs and back workout and that went pretty good also. Legs and back is probably my least favorite workout but I was able to push through and I upped my pull-ups from the last session so I’m pretty happy about that. Ab ripper x also went very well. I’m starting to feel like I’m back in the groove of things. Hopefully that will continue!

P90X Day 95 – Cardio X

In yesterdays post I had said that I was thinking about going down from 4 days of doubles to 3 days of doubles. Well today I just decided to skip yoga x and do just the cardio x instead. The cardio x has some yoga in it, plus it’s more arobic which is what I really want right now. And, of course, it’s shorter! Anyways, after todays workout I feel great. Maybe just skipping that one workout will put me back on track. I guess we’ll see moving forward!

P90X Day 94 – Shoulders and Arms

Todays workouts were cardio x, shoulders and arms and ab ripper x. I did really well with both the cardio x and the ab ripper x. I had an average shoulders and arms workout. I was able to match pretty much everything from the previous session but I didn’t raise the weight or reps on any of the exercises except for maybe one or two of them. In fact I think that I may have lowered the weight on a couple in order to keep my form. Since I’ve been having trouble with the past few workouts, I’m thinking about dropping one of my doubles routines and doing only 3 per week rather then 4 like I have been doing. Maybe that will help. I haven’t quite decided yet though. I want to try to push through if I can but I want to make sure I stay healthy and don’t over train myself either.

P90X Day 92 – Chest and Back

Another day of p90x, and doubles, is in the book. The cardio workout went pretty good this morning. Chest and back went fairly well aslo. I did about the same amount of reps as I did the last time. I did raise them a bit but not as much as I would have liked to. It was a good workout though. Ab ripper x went well also. I had a lot of trouble with the Fiffer Scissors once again though. Overall I would say the days workouts were average to just better then average. Nothing special but still some good workouts.

P90X Day 78 – Busy Morning

I woke up early this morning and did the cardio x portion of todays workout, then just an hour later I did the chest shoulders triceps and ab ripper x. All of the workouts went very well. I was even able to get through the entire Fifer Scissors without rest for only the second time. I can’t believe that we’re in week 12 already. I’ll probably post my chest shoulder and tricep week 1 verses week 12 numbers sometime later in the week.

P90X Day 71 – The Best Workout Ever

Today was the final chest and back workout of the first 90 days of P90X and I had the best workout I’ve ever had. I’m feeling so good right now. I pushed 100 percent on every exercise like always and it really pays off. I was able to increase my reps on pretty much every single exercise again this week. When I compare my week 1 results to todays results the differences just amaze me. It’s so crazy how far along I’ve come in just over 2 months time. Ab ripper x went well also. I could really feel my abs working hard after the couple days of rest that they had over the weekend. Today was also a doubles day and this mornings cardio x was a really great workout as well. At this point I just have one word to describe P90X. Incredible!

P90X Day 57 – Phase 3

Todays workout was amazing. I still love doing chest and back. I was able to up the reps on pretty much every exercise from last time. The workout just feels good! Today was also cardio x and ab ripper x days as well and both of those workouts were great too. What a nice start to phase 3! I have a feeling that these last 30 or so days of round 1 are going to be amazing.
